You can use the card as a 3 mana 3/3 with Rush, or a 5 mana 6/5 with Rush. It’s clearly not a Constructed card and more of a mechanic presentation (those usually work quite well in Arena and I bet that this will be the same). For example – let’s look at Cyclopian Crusher. It looks like the card will have a variety of upgrades, and the mechanic looks quite promising overall. When you drag a Forge card from your hand into your deck, you pay 2 mana to upgrade it into its “Forged” version. This time the card starts in a pretty average state, but you can upgrade it. It looks like they enjoyed “dragging into deck” mechanic of Tradeable and decided to reuse it. The second new mechanic is Forge, and this has more “evergreen” potential (not saying that it will become one, but it’s definitely more generic and would fit into different expansions). I bet that some effects will be quite strong, but they’re balanced by the fact that until you use all three (and it’s unlikely that your opponent will let you do that), they essentially have “Can’t Attack” printed on them.Īs Titans are very important figures in the Warcraft lore, Blizzard will also publish lore blog posts about them soon! We’ll link them here once they’re out. The Titan mechanic looks pretty interesting. Yes – that means 20 damage burn if he sticks around for 2 turns after you play him. On the other hand, Norgannon‘s abilities start pretty weak, but every time you select one, the others double in power. For example – Eonar, the Life-Binder will summon a 5/5 Taunt every time you select one. On top of the abilities themselves, Titans also come with a special effect that triggers when you use those abilities. However, keep in mind that those will be the highest priority removal targets for your opponent, so it’s quite unlikely that they stick for multiple turns unless you somehow protect them. Once you use all three, the minion goes back to normal and you can attack with it like with any other. Once the ability is used, you can’t use it again. You can do that on the turn you play them too. Their gimmick is that instead of attacking, when you click on them, you select one of the three abilities. Each class is getting a Legendary Titan Card with varying costs and effects. Titan is the “titular” mechanic of the expansion.
